NEWS

Frog2Frog is busy and lots is happening.

Since the start in 2004, we have developed and tested the service, including with a live trial in Sweden in 2005 and 2006 that gave us great insight into what works and what doesn't when we talk of mobile advertising.

APRIL 2008 - MOBILE MONDAY - DUSSELDORF

In April Hugh went to Dusseldorf - home of several mobile operators - and presented at the Mobile Monday event for "Messaging and Applications".

Basically our message was in two parts. First, SMS is THE mobile messaging application. It has been, it is, and it will be. Second, Vodafone CZ is doing something that appears very aggressive - giving away 300 SMS per day - until you see what other operators are doing!

There's a PDF version of the presentation here.

MARCH 2008 - INNOVATION PRIZES AT CEBIT

March also had a highlight, with Frog2Frog awarded an innovation prize at the internationally famous CEBIT Exhibition in Hannover. We picked up a Silver Award for innovation in Innovation Marketing from the European Multimedia Forum. Hans-Peter was at CEBIT and was presented with the award at CEBIT on March 4th.

It's nice to receive recognition at an event like CEBIT.

FEBRUARY 2008 - BARCELONA Mobile World Congress

This month we spent time and effort getting ready for the huge Mobile World Congress here in Barcelona. We were present as one of eight selected companies in the Catalan Government Pavillion, with a great central location. We were busy with plenty of operator interest, lots of press and VC attention, and we have lots of work to do to follow up.

As we said, if one third of the prospects move half as fast as we expect, we'll be busy!

OCTOBER 2007 - AMOBEE & Frog2Frog

Late in October the press release describing Amobee's cooperation with us went out on Business Wire. All the major media and mobile sites picked it up, which is nice.

We worked with Amobee on the Vodafone deployment and we could well work with them again. Let's see!

OCTOBER 2007 - THE ECONOMIST

Following on from the launch with Vodafone in Prague, The Economist did a piece on Mobile Advertising as being "The Next Big Thing", and mentioned our - and Vodafone's - SMS Gratis service for students.

It's a pity that they don't mention our company name, but I guess that Blyk and Vodafone have bigger PR budgets than we do.

SEPTEMBER 2007 - CZECH REPUBLIC

On Tuesday Sept 18th, Vodafone in the Czech Republic launched a new ad supported free SMS service, targeted as students. Frog2Frog is providing the core platform and service. More news soon!!

Vodafone has a website for the service. Warning, Vodafone's Czech branding is a little more risqué than you might expect!

Meantime, we still have other things we can't tell you about but where we hope to have similar news within a short time.

JULY 2007 - CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSES

While we'd love to tell all our visitors all about our latest challenges, we can't, at least until they're made public. We hope to bring more news as soon as we can.

MAY 2007 - ONGOING INTEREST

Frog2Frog continues to meet and discuss possibilities with operators and advertisers, mostly across Europe. Interest in our ideas is very high, with the main features of interest being the potential reach for advertisers, the revenue increase for operators, and the simplicity, interactivity and compatibility of our ads. In addition, users love to hear that they could make calls and send SMS for free.

MARCH 2007 - NEW STRUCTURE

Frog2Frog is getting a new structure. After the recent purchase, Hans-Peter Kurz AB became owner of the Frog2Frog platform. Now, with the arrival of some new investors and with new management joining the team, we are creating a new company; Frog Mobile Services, with its corporate office in Barcelona and with offices in Stockholm and Barcelona. Hans-Peter Kurz will retain a large shareholding in the new company and Hans-Peter Kurz is remaining in the leadership team of the company.

FEBRUARY 2007 - PLATFORM LIVE AGAIN

The Frog2Frog platform is live again! After the recent management buy out and a brief interruption, the Frog2Frog service is active again. We are in discussion with a number of mobile operators about possible trials, hopefully then leading to commercial launches during 2007.

DECEMBER 2006 - MANAGEMENT BUY OUT

Grupo Meflur and Kurz AB have reached an agreement whereby Kurz AB will buy the intellectual property assets, software code and know-how of the Frog2Frog platform. The agreement is effective immediately. The intention is to allow the Frog2Frog platform to continue to receive the attention and investment it needs and which Grupo Meflur is unlikely to be able to provide in the near future. Hans-Peter Kurz, the former CEO of Frog2Frog and owner of Kurz AB, said "Frog2Frog is a fantastic system and Grupo Meflur was a key investor for a long time. We are sad to say goodbye to Grupo Meflur, but confident that the Frog2Frog service will now grow as never before." Key members of the team from the past, including Fredrik Wickström, are coming back on board to help bring the Frog platform into the future.

JANUARY 2006 - ADDITIONAL MEMBERS OF THE TEAM

Hugh Sheehy, formerly of Shell International, Cluster Consulting (now part of Mercer/Oliver Wyman) and Hewlett Packard, has agreed to join the Frog2Frog team, taking on leading roles in marketing and finance within the company. OCTOBER 2005 - 37% TRAFFIC AND USER GROWTH IN ONE MONTH

The amount of active users increased by 37%. It is especially impressive that this growth has been solely achieved by "mouth to mouth, invite your friend functionality", without any TV or Internet advertising.

Mr Björding further states: "We ourselves were impressed and surprised by this zero advertising growth, it is far beyond our most optimistic expectations. Later this year we will launch some new exciting features that should secure user and traffic growth."

SEPTEMBER 2005 - PRESS RELEASE

The Frog2Frog trial switches over to become solely advertising financed. The updated price list is 1 kr bonus for each SMS sent from Frog to Frog and 0,49 kr costs for each SMS sent from Frog to "nonfrog". An immediate increase in the number of end users can be seen as a response to this change.

Swedish test-users finalize the "Beta Trial Tests" of the advertising platform including the Frog2Frog bonus concept. Average user age higher than expected. Frog2Frog and associated parties were taken by surprise to discover that the 50% median of the Frog2Frog user age is 22,3 years old. This is app. five years older than the internal marketing forecasts. There is no clear reason for this positive surprise says Daniel Björding, Chief Marketing Officer at Frog2Frog.
